Home Pt. 2 - Ezek. 47:22

"Distribute the land as an inheritance for yourselves and for the foreigners who have joined you and are raising their families among you. They will be like native-born Israelites to you, and they will receive an inheritance among the tribes." Ezek. 47:22

So we see in Rev 21 (on 9/16) the New Jerusalem being revealed to John in the Spirit. Here, we can see what can only be described as the New Jerusalem to Ezekiel over 500 years earlier! Not only does God himself give the details, but he promises that we (the foreigners) are included in the inheritance EXACTLY as a native-born Jew would be! If this isn't enough, in today's reading in Luke, we witness the birth of Jesus which is what makes this inheritance possible!! I am simply overwhelmed by God's plan! We may not always see it because we are consumed by simply living life (exactly what Satan is counting on), but God established an unchangeable plan from before time, and left out not a single detail. Then he actually wrote it down and gave it to us to read! How amazing is this?

Lord, what can I say? Thank you for having worked all this out in advance. Help me to live my life never forgetting where my REAL home is.
