Faith and Confidence - Jer. 17:7-8

"But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and make the Lord their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they go right on producing delicious fruit." Jer. 17:7-8

We serve a faithful God, a loving Father. Like any parent, he will point out areas in our lives that require renewed focus, and at the same time shower his kids hope and encouragement to build their faith and confidence. What awesome promises this verse carries! That even though there may be times of "heat and drought," we will continue to be well-watered from unseen sources, and remain productive, "producing delicious fruit."

Thank you Lord that you are the water we draw from. We trust you in all things, and have complete faith that you work all things for good...

Today's reading: Jer. 16-17; Ps. 96; Jn. 16
